VividLogic is a data engineering consultancy based in Ponte de Lima, Portugal. We design, build and repair dbt projects and the AWS data platforms they run on.

Who we are

VividLogic Software International is a data engineering consultancy registered in Portugal. We build the analytics engineering layer a company reports from: dbt projects organised into staging, intermediate and mart layers, the warehouses underneath them, and the pipelines that feed them and push modelled data back out.

Every engagement is delivered by a principal engineer, and the person who scopes the work writes the code. Scope and price are agreed in writing before anything starts, and everything we build is documented so your team can run it without us in the room.

We work where failures are expensive: projects that grew past their structure, pipelines that fail silently, and numbers that disagree between the dashboard and the CRM. The fix is usually structure, tests and clear ownership rather than a new tool.

What we are building

To build dbt projects and data platforms that still make sense eighteen months later, when volume has tripled and three new source systems have arrived.

How the work is done

A principal engineer on every engagement. The person who scopes the work writes the code, so nothing is lost between the proposal and the build.

Layered by default. Staging models map one to one with sources. Intermediate models hold joins and business logic. Marts are what the dashboards read. Every model lives in exactly one of the three.

Tests ship with the first model, not in a cleanup phase. Primary key and not null tests at minimum, documentation generated from the project itself, and CI that runs dbt build on every pull request.

Stated limits. The dbt page lists what we do not claim to do. A gap found halfway through a project costs everyone more than reading it here.

Priced before anything starts. Scope and price are agreed in writing, and every contract takes a 30 percent deposit before work begins.

Based in Ponte de Lima

Northern Portugal, in the oldest town in the country. Remote by default, with written updates rather than standing meetings, and working hours that share a full day with the UK and the rest of Europe.
